Privacy Policy: What Data AIObs.cloud Collects and Why

Last updated: November 2, 2026.

This policy explains what personal data AIObs.cloud (“the site”, “I”) collects when you visit or contact it, and what happens to that data. The site is run by Tom Morgan. Contact: [email protected].

1. What data is collected

Data you send me

If you email [email protected], I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. I use it only to read and reply to your message.

Comments

If comments are enabled on an article and you leave one, WordPress stores the name, email address, website (if provided), the comment text, and your IP address and browser user-agent, which help detect spam. Your email address is not displayed publicly.

Technical data from visiting the site

Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site records standard technical information when a page is requested: your IP address, the page requested, date and time, and browser and device type. This is used for security, fixing errors and keeping the site running.

Cookies

WordPress may set cookies needed for the site to function, and for logged-in users and commenters. If analytics or advertising tools are added to the site, they may set further cookies. Where the law requires your consent for those, a consent notice will be shown before they are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site’s articles remain readable without them.

2. Why the data is used, and the legal basis

  • To reply to your messages: legitimate interests, and steps you ask for before any agreement.
  • To run, secure, and protect the site (including spam prevention): legitimate interests.
  • For non-essential cookies, if used: your consent.

Your data is not sold, and it is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Who else sees it

Data may be processed by the companies that provide the technical services the site depends on, such as web hosting, email, and spam protection. They process it to provide those services and not for their own purposes. Data may also be disclosed if the law requires it.

The articles contain links to third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which I do not control.

4. How long data is kept

  • Emails: kept as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, and then deleted or archived.
  • Comments and their metadata: kept until the comment is deleted.
  • Server logs: kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU and UK GDPR), you may have the right to access the personal data held about you, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in portable form, and withdraw consent you gave. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. International transfers

Service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA or the UK, it should be protected by an appropriate legal safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

7. Children

The site is written for a professional, technical audience and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent me data, write to me, and it will be deleted.

8. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect the data, but no website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
